A Spoiled Slut I Am w/ a Breakfast Recipe

July 3rd, 2009

breakfast-burritoThe other day I was chillaxin with a friend of mine.  We were babbling about all things life-related, as us girls are wont to do, and I asked her if I’m a negative person.

She said I tend to ramble on about the shit and forget to mention the good stuff.  I told her I need to work on that and she laughed.  She said, “People don’t want to hear the good stuff, Rayne.  All they care about is the drama.  The stuff that keeps you down.  When you start talking about how good you’re doing, people get jealous and don’t want to be around you anymore.”

The sad thing is sometimes that’s true.

When I worked at the mansion, I had a coworker who only ever talked about good stuff in her life.  She didn’t share the negative.  And half the staff was always complaining about it.

“Must be nice to always have it so good.” they’d say.  “Does she ever shut up?”

I’m still gonna start making an effort to talk about the positive things.

I woke up around 6:30 this morning to go to the bathroom.  That’s not unusual because Master has to get up at 6:30 every Friday morning.  Except today He’s off.

When I got back, He took His turn and climbed back in bed with me.  And after a lot of teasing and me goading Him by telling Him that if He loved me more than I love Him He’d fuck me, He fucked me.  I love morning sex.

Then He kicked me out of bed.  At twenty after seven.  On His day off.

We both showered and He called the meat market to see when they open.  That’s major.  Let me repeat that.  He called the meat market.  Him.

Then we walked down to the market and got food.  The usual.  Chicken, steak, ham, turkey, cheese and pickles.  And eggs and bacon.

Master made some kick-ass breakfast wraps.  I mean, really good.  And that’s why I’m putting this in blogs and recipes.

I’m gonna list the ingredients for one wrap.  That way you can calculate how much you’ll need or you can reduce amounts.  Whatever works for you.  Here’s how He made them:

1/2 Medium onion
3 Cloves garlic
2 Large eggs
3 Slices bacon
1/4 Large bell pepper
1 1/2 Slices provolone cheese
1 1/2 Slices American cheese
1 Large whole wheat wrap
Sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste

In one frying pan, saute onion, garlic and pepper till onion is golden brown and pepper is soft.  Stir in beaten eggs and and S&P and fry.

In another pan, cook the bacon.

Finally pile the cooked egg mixture, bacon, and cheese on the wrap.  Add a dollop of sour cream and roll it all up.

You can add so many different things to this.  Salsa, sausage, ham, spinach, tomatoes, potatoes…  Play with it and find the combination you like most.

Oh my god! You use the word chillax! Don’t tell D! He’ll claim it’s a real word.

    @Kitti Haha… I don’t normally. I was just being weird yesterday.

Don’t worry. If he starts claiming it’s a real word, I’ll set him straight for ya! :oP

Here’s what I think about people who get jealous and leave if you talk about the positive side of life:

You don’t need people like that around. As your friend said, they WILL drag you down.

Now, that being said, the person the mansion staff complained about sounds like she was one of these “fakey-happy-joy-joy” people, who gush on and on about how wonderful their lives are but they never say anything of much substance. A lot of the time they are in some religion where they are supposed to be showing joy every damn day or something. And yeah, that’s annoying as hell because it’s so fake.

But you wouldn’t do that so no worries. 🙂

I think liberal doses of snark AND positive thinking is a healthy mix. Both are valid, both important. 🙂

@Amber I’m not sure that I could go overboard like that. Lol. I’m entirely too cynical. But you’re right. People who get jealous when you’re doing good suck.
