A munch is a real-life meeting of kinky minds (usually) in a decidedly non-kinky space. Munches are often held in restaurants, or diners, or another setting in which a large(ish) group of people can sit together and chat without bothering other patrons.
Munches serve many functions. Some are used as a sort of vetting process for play party invitations. Some are just an excuse to have a meal with your friends before a play party or other event. Some are forums where kinky people can talk about and debate various things related to kink. Some are for newbies only. Some are for people between the ages of 18 and 35. Some are for people over 50.
I bet there’s even a munch for unicorns.
If there isn’t, there totally should be. Maybe I’ll start one.

He was touching other people, and they weren’t complaining, so I thought maybe this was just my hang-up. Correct me if I’m wrong, but…isn’t one of the main tenets of BDSM consent? Even in touching?
Okay…you’re not wrong. One of the main tenets in BDSM IS consent, even in touching. Read more…

Question 30:
I’m kind of a private person. I don’t like to share my bedroom antics with other people. Do I have to attend kink functions to be kinky? And if so, what kind of events do I have to attend?
Nope.
