I have no words.

July 8th, 2016

I was going to post a review preview, today. I received a new vegan bondage set for review, and it’s really amazing, and I wanted to talk about it. I had actually planned to post the preview yesterday, but then…

But then, Alton Sterling was murdered by police. And the next day, Philando Castile was murdered by police in front of his fiancée and four-year-old daughter. And the next day, a sniper shot 10 police officers and two civilians at a peaceful protest in Dallas, Texas. And I can’t stop crying.

I’m struck by my loss of words. Me. At a loss for words.

566 people killed by police in 2016. Most of them people of color.

Two black men shot to death by the people charged with protecting them. Five police officers murdered, five more and two civilians injured at a peaceful protest. In three days.

And another weekend in Chicago of more than 60 shootings, pushing their victim tally over 2000 just this year.

What the fuck do you say about that?

Too many people have lost brothers, sons, fathers, mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, husbands to senseless violence. How do we make it stop? I have no answers.

(I’m aware that you lost someone to violence recently. I see you. I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I wish I knew what to say to you. So many hugs, if you want them.)

My heart is broken.

Hug your family today if you can. Right now. If you can’t hug them, reach out to them, and let them know that you love them.

Be nice to people. Be patient. Be compassionate. I’m going to make it a point to do these things, too. Maybe it’ll make a difference. You think? We’ve got to hope.

I love you. I’m sorry you’re hurting. I’m sorry we’re hurting. Let’s work together on fixing it.
