Evil Reigned Last Night

June 22nd, 2016 Comments off

Our old friend, dweaver999, wrote this tribute to the mass murder of LGBT people at a place they considered a safe space in Orlando, FL. Thank you, Dave. We miss you and your posts!

I wrote this shortly after Orlando to try to cope with my feelings

—–

Evil reigned last night
People danced
People laughed
People loved
Unaware of what was coming

Evil reigned last night
Hatred filled his soul
Bullets filled his gun
He descended on heaven
Turning it into hell

Evil reigned last night
“Who is that, what does he have?”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Help, I don’t want to die!”
“No, please no, don’t…”

Evil reigned last night
[He has a gun]
[I’m hiding]
[Oh God, he’s here]

No texts follow

Evil reigned last night
“This way! Out the back.”
Brave souls try to help
Some escape, some don’t.
“What more could we have done?”

Evil reigned last night
50 children lie dead
100 parents will bury their child
Two parents will wonder why
“How could our child kill?”

Evil reigned last night
Rescuers search for the living
Among ringing cell phones, unanswered
Among the crying of the survivors
Their tears threatening to blind them

Evil reigned last night
50 strangers have died
My heart lies in tatters
My tears run freely
I grieve for those I will never know

Evil reigns tonight
[the shooter was a hero]
[it was God’s will]
[good, the fags are dead]
Tweets the Devil

Evil reigns tonight
I am filled with rage
My vision is red
My mind can’t fathom
Celebrating evil this way

Evil reigns tonight
Fear wishes to overwhelm us
Hatred tries to consume us
Suspicion threatens to destroy us
Dear God, protect us from ourselves

Evil will fall tomorrow
I will draw my line in the sand
I will not be silent again
I will speak for the oppressed
I will defend the victimized

Evil will fall tomorrow
For I am a good man
I will not be silent
I will not let evil triumph
NOT ON MY WATCH!

The State of the Rayne

I’ve come here three or four times to write this post, and every time, I leave with nothing but the title and the picture on the page. I don’t know what’s going on with me, lately, but the thought of writing here fills me with anxiety and dread. I have so many great ideas, and I’ve started 10 drafts in the last month, and they all sit not even half written in my draft folder. I get a couple paragraphs in, and the anxiety begins gnawing at the back of my mind.

Why do you bother? Nobody likes you. Nobody reads you. Everyone wishes you’d just go away.

My stats and the comments I receive say differently, but you know how anxiety and depression are. They lie. Constantly. About everything. They drag you into a mire of self-loathing that is so damn impossible to pull yourself out of.

I’ve been dealing with quite a bit of anxiety and depression that has absolutely nothing to do with the blog. I’ve been chalking it up to hormones, but then I realized that if that’s the case, I’m dealing with premenstrual anxiety and depression for a week before my period, I’m anxious and depressed for the week that I’m on my period, and then I deal with anxiety and depression aftershocks for an entire week after my period. So I’m getting 1 week a month of stability. And that’s only if my diagnosed issues aren’t flaring. Read more…

Ooo, what’s that?

If The Womanizer W100 was confusing, this toy is even more so. It’s more intense. It’s easier to use. It’s a little quieter. And it produces some of the best orgasms I’ve ever had.

It’s The Womanizer W500 Pro by epi24. And unless you like things on the lower end of intense, you’re gonna love this toy.

What’s it for?

Like The Womanizer W100, the W500 is meant to provide quick and easy (and maybe even multiple) orgasms without touching the clitoris directly. It, too, functions on epi24’s PleasureAir Technology, which provides the most divine suction I think I’ve ever felt. Unlike the W100, the silicone tips for the W500 come in two different diameters; 1/2 inch and 1 inch. Read more…

Ooo, what’s that?

It’s the toy that’s been talked about all over the internet. From its name to its design to its mystical powers, this toy has been put through the gamut by many a reviewer. And the responses are a resounding “Wtf?” In a good way. I think? I’m afraid I’m not much help.

That, there, is The Womanizer W100 by epi24. And it’s got me scratching my head for sure.

What’s it for?

From the press release:

“The Womanizer uses a new type of stimulation technique that delivers a quick, effortless orgasm without desensitizing the clitoris. This affect is produced by using epi24’s PleasureAir Technology – air pressure waves that act as a suction to indirectly stimulate the clitoris. Once the user places the pleasure cap around the clitoris, a delicate seal is created around the area. The Womanizer does not touch the clitoris or its nerve endings during the stimulation process. Instead, it relies on the suction caused by the air pressure waves to stimulate the clitoris. A jeweled button on the device stimulates the strength of sensation that ranges from gentle kisses to a firm suction depending on the intensity level chosen.” Read more…
