NS(K)Q: Q65 (part 2) – Can a M/s dynamic exist when consent is revoked? (TW)

NoStupidKinkQuestionsGandhi said that if you want to change the world, you have to be the change you want to see. To that end, Insatiable Desire brings you No Stupid (Kink) Questions, a series of questions asked by novice kinksters around the web. If you have a question for us, leave it in comments, or send it to rayne (at) insatiabledesire (dot) com with “NS(K)Q” in the subject.

Question 65 (part 2):

Original post here. Can a master/slave dynamic exist once the slave revokes consent?

I realized after I posted the last NS(K)Q that I didn’t answer one of the questions asked. Can a master/slave dynamic exist once the slave revokes consent?

In truth, the only real answer here is “it depends.”

There are all sorts of variables, and all sorts of definitions of what a “master/slave dynamic” really is. Whether or not the dynamic can continue to exist depends entirely on the people involved. Read more…

Broad City: “Knockoffs” – S 2, Ep 4

Pegging generally refers to consensual anal penetration with a dildo, usually with a strap on harness. It is often used to refer to a woman penetrating a man.

NS(K)Q: Q65 – Can a slave be sexually assaulted? (TW)

Question 65:

A friend of mine says she was raped by her owner. She says she didn’t want to have sex, so she told him she didn’t want to have sex, and he tied her down and had sex with her anyway.

When she brought it up to someone she trusted within their munch group, they told her that she wasn’t raped. They said a slave isn’t allowed to say no or revoke consent, and her owner had the right to do whatever he wanted.

Are they right? Can a slave say no? Can a master/slave dynamic exist once the slave revokes consent? Can a slave be raped? Should my friend be going to the police?

Legally, anyone can say no any time they want. Read more…

Kintionary: Subspace

In mathematics, subspace is defined as “a space that is wholly contained in another space, or whose points or elements are all in another space.” Some kinksters would say that definition isn’t far from the truth.

Subspace is often described as a floating sensation, or feeling detached from one’s body. Speech and thought become difficult. Some refer to it as “flying” while others liken it to an MDMA trip.

The science of subspace comes down to pain-induced endorphins that attach to the same receptors as opioids. When a person is in pain (from illness, exercise, kink, etc.), the body reacts by increasing the production of dopamine, which is also known as the body’s “pleasure chemical” because it rewards the body for certain activities. Increased production of dopamine is thought to be a factor in drug addiction, which explains why so many bottoms feel addicted to subspace.

Not everyone will experience subspace. Not every play session will induce subspace. No one’s quite sure why.

I’m not slacking off. Promise!

April 3rd, 2016 2 comments

I know I’ve skipped two weeks of Kinktionary and No Stupid (Kink) Questions (and, you know, everything but #SunnySunday) and those of you who were just starting to trust me again, are like, “Man, she’s never going to get her ass in gear.”

And you’re probably right. I will probably always be flakey when it comes to the blog (outside of professional obligations) because this is my space and sometimes I just don’t feel like it. I will never be as professional with this thing as some folks are because my blog is more of a journal than what blogs have become. I’m not a brand. I’m not a business. I’m just me, putting myself out there because I can.

But! This time I have an excuse that is not “I just didn’t feel like it” or “Everybody hates me” or “Nobody reads me, anyway.” (Yay, depression!)

So up until Tuesday, I still had my wisdom teeth. Read more…
