Getting Fit – Week 4

August 19th, 2010

So as you know, I got in trouble this week.  M punished me.  And things went back to normal.  Sort of.

I think He intentionally touches my boobs more now.  O.o

He’s definitely trying to maintain the master role and not let me slide.  Which, right now, isn’t so difficult, what with that chain still hanging there, and my boobs being covered in bruises and welts (That are already healing.  I told Him He should have taken pictures! It’ll be months before He’s able to mark me like that again.), and the punishment still fresh in my mind.

He got a new laptop from work, and gave me His old one, so I’m envisioning crisp fall mornings on the balcony, both of us with hot apple cider, or cocoa, or coffee, while we tap-tap-tap away at work.  Wearing jeans and sweaters and maybe even wrapped up in blankets.  I plan on insisting.  Not that that means anything.

We joked about how we could sit outside and play WoW.  I plan on insisting on that, too.

This week, I’ve begun putting my foot down with the neighbors.  The one lady’s probably pissed.  But I mean, seriously… Her man owes me money, and I’m putting her on M’s wireless for free.  Why should I drop everything and run back there to get her computer so M can set it up, then drop everything to bring it back to her?

I didn’t mind the neighborly borrowing of a few dollars here and there for a pack of smokes or a candy bar.  I didn’t mind the borrowing of household items, and shared hobby supplies, even though they’re almost never able to reciprocate.  Or pay us back.  I realize that even with child support screwing up the way it is, and our bills being ridiculous cause cost of living up here sucks, we’re still better off than all of our neighbors.  Except maybe the new guy.

And yeah, maybe that is partly their fault.  Especially in the case of the hooker living downstairs.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t give them a leg up once in a while.

At least, it didn’t.  These days, my give-a-damn is busted.

The final straw was being called for a wake-up call.  How stupid is that? But I am not your mama.  Buy a fucking alarm clock.

We haven’t been walking as much as we should.  But we have been walking.

The living room’s a wreck.  I’ll probably clean it tomorrow.  Today, I’ve got too much to do.

The kitchen’s mostly clean.  But I keep forgetting to check my Freecycle listing about the bottles, so they’re piling up everywhere.  I know… I suck.  I should totally look into lining someone up for this weekend.  Or ask my neighbors.  I bet one of them could use the money.

What we need to get done is the bedroom.  I need to go through our clothes and get rid of what we’ve never worn, or never will, and so on.  There’s a donation box up the street, so the only thing stopping me is procrastination.  And my insistence on having all the parts I want/need before starting the project so I only have to do the work once.  M’s “Do what you can now, and finish it when we can get what you need.” attitude drives me insane.  Yes, I realize that’s my problem.

I haven’t started strength training yet.  That’s another case of not having everything I need.  I don’t want to start strength training without the weights I need only to find out that M’s gonna put off buying them for another four years.  I’d look pretty funny with awesomely toned legs, stomach and ass, but flabby, saggy biceps.

The bills are paid.  There’s a ton of food in the house.  The animals are taken care of.  And we’ve got $44 left.  We rock.

Try some Yoga for strength training. Really. It won’t tone you up amazingly, but you’ll feel stronger and more able to do exercise. Not sure M would like it, but I’m really fond of it so far.

@Kayla I did Pilates for a while, but I got bored with it. I’ve never tried plain ol’ Yoga. Maybe I will.
